Hey all! Well, I've been doing my homework on the Heckler & Koch G3 rifle, and it's current use as a Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) in the German military. In my studies, I've come across multiple pictures of what appear to be the standard slimline G3 handguard fitted with various rails/accessories on the bottom. I shall post some pictures now of what I'm talking about:
As you can see, these Germans have somehow found a way. I am making this thread, because I too... must find a way. My PTR-91 GI needs a vertical foregrip. It must happen. It will happen. But, I need your help! Does anyone out there know how I can do this? What materials do I need? What tools? This would just be so, so awesome to have. It would provide a lot of versatility for me as I don't plan on using anything more than a vertical grip or possible bipod, and would prefer to use what I have instead of buying a quad rail etc, plus IMHO it just looks totally awesome!!
So does anyone out there in computer land know how to do this? Have you done it yourself? There must be a way, because as you can see it's most certainly been done more than once. I'd like to know specifically what hardware I'll need, and what type rail to buy. Thanks so much guys, have a great day!
