Ok I don't know what happened... but basically I was wondering if anyone had any tips on breaking in a galco leather holster... other than what's offered on galco's site...

Apply holster to belt, Add gun, wear constantly. Practice drawing and replacing gun (unloaded) until satisfied.

Of if it is a tight fit, wrap the gun in a ziplock freezer bag, insert in holster and leave over nite. Should be looser in the morning.

I have a couple Galco IWB holsters for a Glock 19 and for a 1911.

I got the leather conditioner that my wife bought at some shoe store and liberally doused it inside and out. I let it soak in and wiped off the excess.

After a short time, I stuck the handgun in the holster and left it there. They fit like a glove now and release the handgun with just the right amount of tension.

I did this same thing to my first Galco IWB holster and it lasted 16 years before it wore out.

The leather conditioner doesn't harm the handgun if any gets on it.

Neetsfoot oil will soften up the leather, been using it on all my leather stuff for 60 years, was baseball gloves back then!

See, when I saw this, I immediately thought, "Now who the heck would burgle a holster factory?"
