I have been looking at the GALCO MATRIX M7X for my glock 27 /23. I am just trying to get an idea of what to expect if I were to get one. I have Galco's king tuck holster but I have put on a few extra lbs since I went to dayshift and some of my pants are a little too tight for it.

For those not familiar, here is the holster you are talking about.

In my brief experience with holsters that don't cover the whole pistol slide, I've torn a hole in my pants at the seam of my back pocket, and I nearly launched the pistol out of the holster when I caught the muzzle on the arm of a chair when I sat down. My current feelings are I would buy a holster specific to the pistol I planned on carrying rather than an open slide one that fits both.

My experience was with an El Paso Saddlery "High Slide" for a 5" 1911, so your combination may give different results. Your Glocks have shorter barrels and there seems to be less cant with the Galco than my El Paso holster.

You can see where the muzzle sits in this review of the Simply Rugged "CID". My "High Slide" and 1911 sat in the exact same place and tore the corner of the back pocket open.
