I have purchased many guns online. I am looking to buy the Ruger gunsite scout and cannot find it anywhere from my local gun stores nor can any of them order them. My favorite online store, budgsgunshop, doesn't even sell them. I then checked galleryofguns and they have 12 in stock with decent prices from $720-$747. I have never bought from them. Do any of you folks have any experience with them? Thanks.

I bought one rifle from them a couple of years ago.

No issues at all and I had my gun 3 days later.

It is nice to be able to shop from home anytime you want,
It sucks that you can't touch and feel the exact gun you want until it arrives,
It is nice that every gun comes with a lifetime warranty.

Ive bought 2 through them.... cant complain about anything other than not being able to hold it first.

I have bought from them. Buy with confidence.

On the other hand, I only bought from them when I just had to have a particular item that no one else had...much like your situation. Davidsons is cheaper than some of the overpriced local shops here, but more expensive than other online stores in many cases. Both times I bought from Davidsons, I found myself wishing I had displayed some patience and gotten it cheaper elsewhere. Then again, I got what I wanted when I wanted it. :)

Their prices vary on some stuff. Some stuff is priced 25% more than buds or other etailers, yet some other stuff is priced on par with the competition. If you are happy with the price, go ahead and buy it.

There's also that "Davidsons Guaranteed" lifetime replacement warranty available for some guns. Some people buy from there just because of that.

I haven't bought anything thru them yet, but their system is kinda cool. Frinstance, I can type in and search for a new Ruger MK III pistol. They ask me for my zip code, which then automatically shows all of the Ruger models that are legally available to us Kalifornistas. After that I can hit 'Get Instant Quote' from dealers within a 25, 50 or 250 mile radius from my house. I usually hit the 50 mile range, and then scroll thru the list of dealers that can sell me that particular gun. All of their prices (with their assorted various fees) are listed on the right hand side in plain English. This gives me a very quick method to compare different dealers prices----which trust me, vary a LOT here in Kali....

If you guys are happy with it then I should be too.:D

Anyway, about a year and a half ago WA did not tax guns that were bought online. It was a "big discount" for me. Now they do.:(

I'm a big fan of that, too.

You get the gun you want, with a lifetime warranty, and you are giving business to a local shop at the same time.
