I bought a gun or two from Impact...
And I'll be buying from them again in the future. The only reason I haven't already is because I keep finding better deals locally. My gun was in stock at the time though, I've never had the urge to pay someone a bunch of money and then wait a month or three for my stuff. Then again, there's nothing I need/want that I can't find within 15 minutes of my place. One advantage of city life, I suppose.
I also had mine shipped DHL. I wasn't aware DHL had any policy against shipping guns. I didn't have to pick anything up from any depot, and they got from Utah to Columbus in a day once my firearm actually shipped. Just have them ship it to your local gun store and go pick it up when they call you - that's what I did, anyway.
I have to admit, it kinda sucks waiting a week for someone to just ship the damn thing... I can't imagine living in a state with a waiting period on top of that... but once it's sent it's there before you know it. If DHL can get it from Utah to Ohio in 24 hours at ground prices, that should speak for itself. That's as fast as it gets for regular shipping.
They must drive reeeaaallly fast
The people there at Impact are really friendly too, should you ever need to call the place... and they do something gun stores around here never do. They actually answer the phone!
Can't say anything bad about impact. I'd be more inclined to buy something from them that ships in 48 hours rather than 5-7 days if possible, but that's just me... and I'm not known for my patience.
Regarding budsgunshop.com - look closely... They charge a $25 "handling fee," and a $25 shipping fee... Add whatever your FFL is going to charge you to pick it up, and those prices aren't so incredible anymore... Impact charges you a set price to ship it, depending on how fast you want it, and who you want to ship it.
IIRC I paid the list price for the gun, plus $9 to ship it. You do the math on that one.
