I'll play, here are a few of ours.....
One of my personal favorites...
Our doe "Bob" with the bobbed tail....
Then we got this one which got us all fired up for this past season...
I didn't see much of anything during archery season, and what I DID see were young does tending still very small yearlings. Then the Thursday before Thanksgiving, I got this one not 20yds from my bow stand,
Of course when I checked the card on Friday when we got up there I got a bit more excited. We only have a tad over 100 acres and my cousin has a stand about 150yds just over the top of the hill behind the above shot. This ol buck however was hanging tight to our place, and sticking with the does we have been working hard to hold there.
Then the night before Thanksgiving, another bow stand not 20yds from where he is following a doe.
By now my daughter who hunts there was getting pretty frigidity knowing she wouldn't be able to hunt on Thanksgiving due to all of us heading south for dinner at my in-laws. THis was even brought on moreso by the fact that her oldest boy was spending the night with us and had his choise of hunting this one or heading down to my close friends place to try for some hogs. He chose the hogs.
The daughter hit the farm at just past 06:00, and called me at 11:10 telling me "big buck down"
It was a memorable season to say the least and I am proud of her for getting the one we watched all year. I would have been ecstatic had the grandson gotten it but he knew the odds and chose to go have fun elsewhere. (He's also proud of her as well).
Me I would simply like to be in that bow stand when these all gang up like this again, and have my auto 12ga loaded with #4 buck.
