ill try to shorten this up as much as possible so i dont get furious...

i bought a Para S16-40 Limited, it jammed the first day i shot it, over the course of 5 months it went back to Para 3 times and still never worked. Gander mtn bought the gun back off me for full price of what i paid.

The only reason i bought the gun at gander is because it was on sale.... now im stuck with a 1200 dollar store credit gift card, and my other local gun shops can get the sig i want for way less than what gander wants.

any advice? im thinking i should buy from them again since they were cool enough to buy the Para back.... but i dont want to spend 300 extra dollars on a gun either.

Did you talk with the store manager about the price of the SIG you want? Maybe as a goodwill gesture for your time and troubles, they could give you a discount on it. Never hurts to ask. Or instead of buying another gun, is there possibly some other item or items in the store that you need or want?

I've never had a single 'big-box' store like that refuse to match a competitor's price. Simply tell them where and how much the Sig is. They might have to call to verify the price, but I'm certain that Gander Mtn would match a competitor's price.

Gander Mountain does price match, but the competitor has to have the item in stock, and sometimes they take into account shipping and whatnot if it's an internet site.

Colt has a nice polished 1911 in .38 Super. I have never shot one, though. Another gun I hear is good is the Springfield fully loaded, .45.

gander will price match. you may even be able to print out some online "proof" of the gun being cheaper somewhere else.
atleast they were decent enough to take back the defective pistol.
i suppose store credit is alot better than the alternative...bunk firearm!!

Just sell the giftcard for $50 less than the face value. Problem solved.

Heck, you could probably sell it right here on THR.

i was thinking of selling it for like 20 dollars less than face value, but finding someone who needs to spend 1171 dollars might be hard to come by. plus most people will think its a scam.

so gander mtn says they only price match "other big box stores" and that they wont price match "mom and pop stores". thats lame.

maybe their price matching is done on a store by store basis?

this guy must have said 5 times that its "only other big box stores" he kept repeating it over and over..
