Rem 597 stock colors..need help for price match at Gander mtn

Gander mtn has some funky chameleon colored stocks on a 597 combo for 199.00. Dicks has some 597s listed for 149.99. Dicks says with an OD stock...looking at the pic it kinda looks like the chameleon colored one but i cant tell. I bought the one at Gander mtn and im wondering if they will match that or is the stock(if its different) gonna make a difference? Does the color affect price? Are there an OD and a chameleon or is the OD actually the chameleon color.

yes, the chammy color is diff from the od, and the most wanted is the flat black. next is the chameleon.yes they do effect the price. the blacks are the most expensive, when you can find them.

Rem 597 in Camo

Hi, I saw the Mossy Oak Version Remington 597 at Wal-mart yesterday for $149.95 . I prefer the Ruger but thought that was a great price for a .22lr in camo ...........WVleo

Academy has the grey stock version .22LR for $128 if anybody was wondering. Personally, if I wanted any of those color stocks I would just buy the cheapest one(the grey one at Academy for my sake) and just paint it whatever color I choose.
