my local gander mtn has done a new plan-o-gram for all their ammo. they have new shelves, nice tags that have prices for everything, well just about everything. what i thought was amazing though was that all the handgun ammo is now out on the sales floor, not behind the counter.

there is a sign that says all handgun ammo has to be paid for at the firearms counter, but still at least you can look at everything, and easily see the price and what they have.

before i wouldnt even look at ammo there because you had to ask someone to hand you each box, which was a pita.

now to the point of my post, they had some WWB that said WINclean on it. it was supposed to be a cleaner version of wwb, with what appeared to be a tmj, where the bullet was completely covered in a brass or copper jacket, i forget which. it was only a dollar more per 50 gander mtn price, which was way too high anyway.

anybody try this stuff? is it worth it? will walmart ever get it? is it going to replace the regular wwb?

If you shoot at an indoor range, especially one that restricts ammunition to non lead emitting, the Win Clean at a dollar more a box is well worth the money spent.

I haven't seen any appreciable difference in performance between the two choices.

I like Gander's new policy (several months old, here) on handgun ammo, too. Before, all they had out was the big yellow UMC bulk packs.

'Course, I don't like the tiny amount of .32 they keep in stock. I want more FMJ!

Wish there was a place that sold thousand-round packs of .32. Or .25. Oh, well.
