Just got back from the Whittington Center. We spent two days shooting about anything you can imagine, from .22's to .38 Spl to .45 ACP to 25-06 and 45-70.
We spent this morning at the high power rifle silhouette range. I put 18 clips of ammo through my Garand before I finally had to give up about 12:30. Shoulder is awful tender this evening. Shooting with open sights and hitting the 500 meter rams is a blast!
Sisco, good and bad news about my brothers Garand. Good news, it's in great shape and a good shooter. Bad news, it shot so well he's keeping it.
Oh well. I told him to be on the lookout for another.
He says a good buy in Albuquerque on a nice rifle is $675-725. The collector grades will have asking prices over $1000.
