Too cool.
Ever happened to me? Yup.
"What the hell..... I own a Pre-Woodsman?!?"
"I thought I gave that Golden 39 to my brother!"
"I wonder how long that Gold-Cup's been there?"
One of the best.... Was in a shooting box I bought at an estate sale. Had the above Pre-Woodsman, a S&W target .38 and this in it. At some point after getting home, I set the box aside and re-discovered it years later with the forgotten pistols. I had moved it several times and always casually thought..."Hmmm... This thing's heavy!" but being a custom box, I assumed that that and maybe tools accounted for it.
I don't want to hear any cry-babies prattle on about the *shame* of what was done to a righteous 1911 (NOT A-1) as it is the end-all-be-all of what I pined for as a kid. A custom built 1911 Bullseye gun. This one is from the 50's when 1911s were a dime a dozen even IF the dimes were a bit harder to come by then.
