Same grip angle that I don't like at all. Same design with the "safety" on the trigger. But now it has an extra plastic piece I can swap out so I can have a more hand-filling grip at the wrong angle?
I don't think M&P's are "plowing through the LE market". Landing contracts with couple of larger metropolitan agencies and a handful of smaller ones does not exactly equal "plowing through". I know of more agencies still carrying S&W's 3rd gen line than I do agencies carrying M&P's. Not to mention that there are far, far, far more agencies continuing to issue Glocks and Berettas than there are either of the S&W lines.
Is the new G21 out yet? I am hoping it is even more slim than my G21sf. I think I would be in for one if that is the case as I love my G21sf otherwise.
I took a trip to an area Police supply store yesterday so I could check out the Glock 21SF RTF2.
The G21SF RTF was very nice, but I already have a G21 that I have dumped a bunch of money into, so I didn't think I needed another. While there, I also looked at another Gen 4 Glock 22. I also found out that the store also had Gen 4 Glock 17s in stock for $397 with 3 high cap magazines. My friend bought the Gen4 G22 and I bought the Gen4 G17.
We are hopefully going to shoot them today.
The RTF 3 is nice. My hands are rather rough so I enjoy the aggressive texture. I think I still prefer the RTF 2 texture though. One thing about the RTF2 was that if you carried it IWB, the texture would rough up whatever clothing it came in contact with. I carried the G-17 Gen 4 for a little while yesterday, and didn't notice it roughing my t-shirt up, but time will tell.
I don't care for it myself. Personally I thought Glock would come out with something better, I mean I liked the grip the way it was. Yeah I was a bit disappointed when I saw that In this years Glock magazine. I'm not sure which I was more dissapointed about. The new Glock Or when Ruger introduced there new revolver. Guess for now its a tie.
