I am looking to replenish my ammo supply for my Savage 110 (.30-06) and my Ruger Mini 14 (.223). I have always bought one of the premier brands such as Remington or Winchester for general use such as target shooting, and just in case of when SHTF scenarios.

I would love opinions on the Remington and Winchester ammo from members who shoot the same kind of weapons, as well as opinions on other manufacturers such as Hornady, Wolf, Fiocchi, and others. I do not hunt so game size is not an issue.

As we all know, there are tons of ammo brands and types manufactured (but not necessarily available these days), and the selections are often very confusing. I would love opinions on brands from fellow gun enthusiasts.

I've shot some Prvi-Partizan ammo in a couple different calibers and find it to be very good shooting ammo. It's clean shooting, accurate and the brass is boxer primed and at least 1/2 the cost of Win and Rem ammo. It's the same ammo as Wolf Gold.
Get a box and try it to see if it will work for you.
Here's a link to some Prvi at Midwayusa.

I shoot the Privi through my AR's never a problem great for the price if you look hard enough. Almost only shoot reloads through my bolt 30-06 the when I buy new it is usually Remington and usually it goes through a BAR.

I would be wary of ammo you are not familiar with in your 30.06 especially ammo from out of the country. Some of it can be too hot for a bolt gun. You mini is pretty losse by design and is more forgiving to most ammo, you should be alright with most anything you find for it.

I'm about to probably sell my good old basic Mini 14 (have two Minis), in order to finance an LE "Jungle Carbine". Therefore:

Will consider trading :scrutiny:, for example, 1,000-2,200 rds. (ammo cans kept inside) of newer '08 Wolf .223 for the Same Amount of Wolf/Bear/Tiger non-corrosive 7.62x39, but only in person (FTF). If no good trades are out there, will simply keep all the ammo, hibernating with the silica bags.
This is for the 'sharks': I don't need to sell anything-just want to keep word with wife :)that 'my x number of (last) guns' will not be broken by yesterday's order of the "JC".

Making a trip with cell phone from Memphis through Jackson, Clarkesville TN and Owensboro KY, enroute to Evansville on April 16th, then back 19th.
When the panic bubble soon deflates a bit, x39 will be even cheaper, compared with .223. AR prices are already peaking.
Wolf and S. Bear .223 has never had any ftf etc in my Mini. Zero.
