Georgia Arms Ammo

Georgia Arms

Them's "Hillbilly's" were instrumental in getting the order for spent government brass to be destroyed rescinded! They immediately contacted their politicians and breathed fire down their necks, and about a week later, the brass was saved! Did they do this out of the goodness of their hearts? Heck no! Like any "fly-by-night" operation, they buy spent brass in massive quantities, in order to produce high quality, affordable ammunition in bulk quantities, such as their "Canned Heat" line of ammo. Surf teh internets, and check almost any firearm related site, and you'll uncover a whole mess o' dem grammar hillbilly's out dea, ya hea? :what:

I have received about 6 different orders from them since Thanksgiving. GA seems to be a good source of quality ammo. I was referred to their site by a friend who is a retired range master for FN weapons testing. Canned heat in .308 & .45 auto has been reliable, but I have only shot relatively small quantities -- the rest is stored. I rate them AAA as an on-line dealer.

Damn you, Cletus, it's "gub'mint," not "government." You tryin' ta git above yo' raisin', boy? ;)

do you really think they would be a couple of mos behind if they were turning out a crummy product?

Maybe. In this market, even Jimenez Arms is probably two weeks behind.:D

Travis bickel It would be ridicules for you to order from Georgia arms now soooo, BY. Go to your local dealer or wally world and order what you want and be happy.

I've shot a ton of their ammo, it's not bad, the OAL is pretty low which causes problems in SMGs and pistol caliber carbines. But I dislike the price right now, they are charging new ammo prices for reloaded ammo.

I thought we actually had a War and it was demonstrated that hillbilly's were pretty good with guns.

That said, a web site says a lot about your business and attention to detail. Spelling errors and grammar mistakes shouldn't be there; but I try not to let that get in the way of judging them just based on that. I think Travis was asking more for an endorsement and opinion of them since he knew naught about them.

I'm glad to see this thread; someone just offered me 100 rds of their .44magnum in trade for some .40 I have. Should be fun to test it - it sounds pretty, um, "warm."

Travis Bickle-I would first like to inform you that I have used GA Arms .40 caliber "New" ammunition & it worked just fine. Everything they sell is plus P though.
Secondly I would like to say that if you didn't intend to come off like a snob maybe you should take a look at your attitudes. Sometimes we are unaware of our prejudices until they are pointed out by others. Intelligence & education are two different things & they do not always coexist.

I would trust a hillbilly more when it comes to firearms then most other folks. Do you mean to be insulting or is it a lack of education that leads you to believe that it is ok to insult people.

Georgia Ammo is good stuff.

Wow, it's been a long time since this Ozarks gal has even SEEN the word "hillbilly" as an insult. :scrutiny:

Since you're so sensitive to their spelling and grammar, by all means, I strongly encourage you to boycott them. It leaves more for me.

Sheesh.

I don't know what calibers you're looking at. I've been studying .38 Spec/.357 Mag. (pretty much set everywhere else). 1000 rounds of 158 gr LRNFP .38 special (reloads) for $210. $10.50 per 50 rounds. I haven't seen new ammo at that price since the early 90s. The same load in new cases is $270/1000. Or $13.50 per 50. It's been since the mid 90s that I've seen those prices.

I have an old box of Win USA, .38 Spec. 130 gr. FMJ with a price tag of $12.99 still stuck to it. That box is from '93 to '95.

Please tell me where you are getting new manufacture ammo for those prices these days. I'll be there Monday, with my truck ready to empty the bank accounts.

Walmart. You have to either call every day, or stop by regularly, but they have 9mm for $180 a case, while GA Arms cost $240 per a case.

Great Ammo made by Americans at a fare price I use them they have never let me down.

I just want to make sure that this isn't some fly-by-night hillbilly operation that's going to leave me missing an eye or something.

Georgia Arms is a well respected manufacturer/remanufacturer of ammunition that has been in business for years. It has thousands of satisfied customers. Their quality control is excellent as is the value of the ammunition they sell.

Considering the endorsements from members with direct experience with them I hope you're satisfied that you may safely buy from them without regard to the imperfect proof reading on their website (properly spelled incorrect words are a phenomenon many of us have seen since the advent of spell check).

If there are no value ammunition sources in the SW that you can solicit testimonials for you may have to resort to purchasing from these poor illiterates.

Please note my location.

And think of the licking they give you the first time you sprout the word "Ain't" back home in "Bal-mo"....

It aint right that such a respected Ammuntion Factory get such bad greetings because of some things they AINT got round to yet.
