Getting my first AR, ammo advice?

Ok, it's not my first. I did own one a couple years ago for about a month.

I'm looking for info on PRVI partisan .223 ammo. Good stuff? junk? Worth $330 per 1000?

As a seriously disconsolate 7.62x51 shooter, I know milsurp ammo is insanely expensive. What's the "state of the state" in .223/5.56 ammo? What's a good price? thanks all.................

prvi is great, but when you get tired of paying for it, try Silver Bear or Barnaul zinc coated steel. It is running about $200/1000 recently.

Oh, and if you do buy the Prvi, save the brass! 1000 rounds of brass .223 can get upwards of $60 on Ebay sometimes. Or send it to me and I'll reload it

buy as much as you can afford, and then buy more. Wolf is great to stockpile. Soon, you won't be allowed to buy any.

I have used the Prvi and it shoots just fine. I mainly shoot Federal American Eagle Lake City, Remington UMC, & Winchester Q3131. The only ammo I won't shoot is Wolf.
