GGG (GIRAITE ARMAMENT FACTORY) Lithuanian manufacture

They make a few calibers. I'm looking for 7.62x51mm and have found a decent price. Has anybody used this ammo, and is it any good? Is there better for a decent price?

Just under 50 cents a round (high compared to a year or two ago, but low nowadays). Specs say: Brass cased, Boxer primed (reloadable) N/C, Copper Jacket Lead Core, Sealed primers

Any other recommendations for an equal/close price?

This would be for an Springer M1A by the way.

Is this ammunition available in the US? As a cartridge collector who focuses on 7.62 NATO, I'd like to get a full box for my collection.

It's supposed to be good ammo. The manufactures' website is

http://www.ggg-ammo.lt/en/about.php

AIM Surplus is supposed to be getting some in in a week or so.$550 for 1,000rd wood case, 5 battle packs, boxer primed, non-corr, 200rd battle packs. I don't know if it will be sold by the individual box, you might want to email them.

From what I understand it isn't NATO spec and doesn't have the NATO Cross.

I miss the cheap surplus.:(

There was a post on ARFCOM the other day about GGG ammo. I'll see if I can find it. I think the jist of the thing was positive about this ammo.

Neither did South African or Australian F4. Doesn't mean all that much.

Some of the ammo produced by GGG was NATO Spec and had the Cross. This ammo is from earlier production from before the NATO Spec ammo was produced from what I understand. I figured it might matter to a collector such as Bracken S.

It shouldn't matter as far as shooting.
