I shot a friends G19 with the Ghost Rocket 3.5 disconnector the other day and absolutely loved the trigger. Smooth.

I have a G19 that I will be carrying concealed. Do you know of any problems with this setup? The "don't put your finger on the trigger until you're ready to fire" is quite obvious. This is how everyone should think, regardless of the trigger pull weight. And it's not a "hair" trigger, just lighter and smoother.

Anybody have one in their Glock carry gun? Pros and Cons?

Thanks!

It doesn't matter if you think its not a hair trigger. It only matters what the jury thinks. I'm not a glock guy, but this seems pretty light to me. But YMMV and do what you want.

even then I'm not too sure what a lighter trigger would have to do with a justified use of lethal force situation. Would you be comfortable carrying a revolver or unsafed 1911 in single action?

For me, I found the stock Glock trigger is just right. As mentioned, YMMV.

The friends trigger was a little lighter, but the smoothness of it as well as the overtravel stop was what I liked most.

Someone said to me that it could be argued that the enhancement would help the shooter better control/place shots so as not to hit bystanders by accident. And really, that is why I would want the overtravel stop.

Also, someone mentioned using the Ghost Rocket with a NY Trigger Spring #1 (8lb) and getting the better feel and OT stop, but the pull weight would be right at factory level.

(BTW - I'm an idiot ----- What is YMMV? )

I really like the factory 3.5 lbs trigger on my 24P. There were a few rough edges on contact points that I smoothed up with a sharpening stone and it was smooth as glass after that. Still a long trigger pull and difficult to fire accidently.

I still wouldn't want to tote one with a round in the chamber unless I was very confident in the holster keeping everything out of the trigger guard. Even then I'd probably leave it unchambered until I sensed danger.

With a similarly preped standard trigger I wouldn't feel at a disadvantage but I'd still worry about carrying a round in the chamber.

Oh, [Y]our [M]ilage [M]ay [V]ary, universal disclaimer ;)

Most all reliablity problems that occur with Glocks are related to aftermarket parts.

I wouldn't mess with it....just my $.02

I've used a few of these 3.5 connectors. I like them.

I've also NEVER heard of a problem with reliability that could be attributed to the trigger. Lots of folks use these disconnectors!

And in response to an earlier comment: i'd argue, as someone else did, that if you have to use lethal force, and its a JUSTIFIED use, trigger weight is probably irrelevant. Its in those cases where its use WAS NOT justified that you've got concerns -- and in that case, your hind end is already in a sling.

Stresspuppy, if you are worried about the lightness of the pull, then why not go with Ghost's other connector?

They have one called the "Tactical" It's rated at 5 lbs but reported to give the same crisp pull without overtravel.

That would be TOO easy!!!!

I jumped the gun and already bought the 3.5. But I also bought the NY Trigger Spring #1 (8lb) so that if it is too light, I can add the spring and get back up to the 5'ish lb trigger pull. If I like it with the 3.5, I am only out the $3 for the spring.

Options, Options, Options. My motto. (and I am impulsive so I have to have a backup plan!)
