since were on wolves.

i have a massive coyote problem, but my brother brought my family out some groceries because we were snowed/iced in my rigs were stuck"in arkansas"and he swears he seen a wolf and ive been hearing the most gosh /awful howling besides the normal coyote yipping howl, anyway"is there wolves in nw arkansas.now my brother raised some real heavy blooded wolf pups growing up,huge dogs, nobody but him could get near them.so he knows what a wolf looks like,he pulled up in their 4x4 dually ,him and his wife freaked out.

The latest issue of North American Hunter has the picture and story in it on the last page. The guide and client were sitting over bear bait when the wolf came in. Oh, and they video taped the whole thing. The video is supposed to be on the website, but I have not had the time to look for it.

For now, I'm saying real. Wolves can certainly get that big. The skull of this wolf has been submitted to B&C for the record book, so at this point I doubt there was any fakery.

Nothing on the website at all in reference to that picture, videos of it, Gogama Ontario Canada, or of bear hunting in that area.
Its a photoshopped hoax, an obvious one.
Just like the artcle that circulated several hunting magazines that referred to a single wolf attacking and killing 16 hunting dogs, then attacking the hunter who shot it (no official record exists in North Americas history of this event), actually some mags gave him credit for shooting it, some didnt. The actual sitution was a bear hunters hounds (8 of them I believe) which were killed (all but one, which cowered injured on his owners lap before the wolf ran away) approaching wolf pups with their mother in a rendevous site. The male wolf defended his family from what instinct told him was a rival canine pack.
The hunter saw the wolf which took one look at him and ran away. It was a dog training incident (July 4th weekend), the hunter was training his dogs in an area which the wildlife were protected by law and he did not carry his rifle or shotgun while training the dogs, which were running loose not under his direct control or supervision. This is why it took him so long to get to the dogs, and they were all killed. The area is protected from hunting (also too close to recreational areas) but it was common for hunters to train their dogs there, even when they were warned about the wolves rendevous sites, and the time of year causing conflict with the local wildlife.
Like I said, I have a copy of the picture somewhere that the wolf came from, the guy and that wolf do not belong in the same photo, its obvious. that guy added the wolf from the other photo. The actual wolf is big, but not that big.
Looking at the picture, its obvious that its photoshopped and fake, I cant believe people dont see it.

Do you think they would retract the picture or story? The story that so many hunting mags posted that I mentioned was never retracted even after the actual hunter involved corrected the story, instead the mag websites just took down the corrected info posted by others.

That is one big puppy, I don't care what anyone says.

If I saw that in my backyard I'd be scouring the closets for the heavy loads!

:what:This guy just shot "Bigfoot" and doesn't even realize it.......Well, there is one way to find out if it's real or not...just ask "Snopes"..... lol .....;)

The OP's pic would certainly provide plenty of fertile soil for a spirited discussion on what the "proper cartridge" should be for wolf hunting...
