It doesn't feel as special, but when I was talking with my admin and asked how that would be, he said that was a perfect idea. The whole idea I had in my head was that a gift like that usually comes from a father, and I wanted to give it to him. Like I said, though, he lives a few houses down and we'll be part of each other's lives for quite awhile, so hopefully the gift of just being there for him will far outweigh steel and wood.
