Well, over the last two days, I've been giving back to those who helped me get started. I've taken two different new shooters to the range. Yesterday, went with a guy who had shot as a kid but not in a long time and never pistols, so we shot pistols and he got to try and kinds of different things. Today, went with a lady who had shot skeet many years ago, but not since and we shot rifles (22LR and 223 and EBG)

They both have that grin on their face :D that says they are buying something and soon.

I know, as a pretty new shooter myself, that it's very hard to get invovled, shooting is pretty insular. It's pretty hard to even ask, you feel like you need to be invited, that you need some special invite to be in the special society. When someone does invite you, that's it, you are hooked and pretty soon you know and understand most of what's being said. (and groups like this do help you learn). So, hopefully I gave back a little and grew the membership of active shooters just a bit.

oh, I'm already a member of the NRA, long before i actually started shooting. I thought it was important politically (still do), even though before I didn't partake of the joy of making things go bang.

Before I went on vacation my buddy & I took a newbie to the range. We let him play with an SKS, AK clone & a Moisin Nagant M91/30 sniper rifle. He fell in love with shooting and bought the SKS afterwards.

Sharing the sport is perhaps one of the best ways we not only perpetuate it but recruit for defenders of the 2A. Resistence is futile, you will be assimilated. :D
