Many of us will be sitting around a table with family and friends tomorrow. Many of us will begin the feast with a prayer giving thanks for the food and some also include thanks for other blessings they have recieved throughout the year.

Unfortunately some of will be surrounded by folks that prevent us from talking about certain subjects. At least if we want to keep the family peace.

So I present this thread for all of hunters, shooters, reloaders, and gun collectors to express our thanks. What gun related blessing was bestowed on you in last year that you want to give thanks for?

I want to give thanks for the blessing for getting my first CCW. That includes thanks for living in a place that allows one to get one.

Your turn!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!:)

One thing I'm thankful for is that no one was hurt in the negligent discharge my son in law and I had with my Ruger GP 100 earlier this year. A word to the wise. You may think you're immune to an AD or a ND but you are not! Please be careful and make absolutely sure that the unloaded gun you are holding is actually unloaded.

I am thankful to live in a country and state that says it's lawful to defend ones own family. I know we still have work to do, but compared to a lot of places around the world we have it good.

Happy Thanksgiving all.

We are a shooting family, by that I mean my Son, Daughters, Son-In-Laws and wife.
No mishaps or bad experiences in all of the range times we have had, I do all of the hand loading for the family, beyond 10,000 rounds a year, and next year even more the way things are going.
I am thankful for the knowledge the Lord has given me, and the joy of being together shooting, it is awesome!!

Three grandchildren in one year - one from each child! Getting my second hip replaced so that I can now return to trapshooting, target shooting and hunting! Having no reason whatsoever to have to use my CCW permit!

I survived cardiac bypass surgery this year, and a close friend is recuperating from cancer surgery with a good prognosis. And as I write this our daughter is at the hospital in labor with our first grandchild. God willing, I'll get to teach another youth to shoot.

I am thankful to be able to celebrate and give thanks this year with my family and to be in this great United States.

I am thankful to be alive and that I have no injuries, for all my brothers in harms way I will be thinking of you and your families.

I am thankful for the successful removal of a massive subdural hematoma I was stumbling around with for over two months! I'm thankful for being able to remember all I knew before the accident - 'course, how would I know if I've lost a memory! Hey at least there is one thing for sure! I recognize all my firearms!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, and don't forget from Whom all blessings flow!

I have a lot to be thankful of. I am a sinner saved by the Grace of Jesus Christ. I am not ashamed of my Lord and Saviour. He has brought me through a lot and I should not be alive, but by his grace I am. My prayer is that some lost soul will seek out The Lord and be saved.

The Lord gave me the ability to hunt, work, live and raise a family in the greatest nation on the face of the earth. I thank all who have served in our armed forces and in other capacities to keep us free.

I am thankful that every gun I own is the best and most accurate in its category. :p

I am also thankful for the humility that prevents me from entering competitions and beating everyone soundly to prove the aforementioned truth.

351 Winchester - Amen.

I give thanks that I have gone another year in my life without having to use my gun(s) in self defense. I give thanks that I live in a country that still has parts of it that allows me to purchase, own and carry a gun as protection (Although I'd like for certain laws, taxes and prices to be alleviated :)).

A Thanksgiving Prayer

A Happy Thanksgiving to the High Road. I would like to share a prayer that was sent to me by one of my Vietnam squadron mates.

GOD OUR FATHER, WALK THROUGH THIS HOUSE AND TAKE AWAY ALL OUR WORRIES; AND PLEASE WATCH OVER AND HEAL OUR FAMILIES; AND PLEASE PROTECT OUR FREEDOMS, AND WATCH OVER OUR TROOPS, WHO ARE DEFENDING THOSE FREEDOMS. AMEN

I am thankful that our house is now safer because my dad finally bought some guns, and that I am now more active in the shooting/ hunting community! God bless all of you!
