For what firearms-related things are you most thankful?

The NRA.

Do you think this forum would exist if the NRA was not a strong lobbying organization?

If you are not already a member, I urge you to join.

I am thankful for our rtkba like many others.
I am also thankful that so many have sacrificed so much to guarantee this and all our other rights.
After the turkey feast we went to the back of our property and shot our guns as free Americans.
I will always owe a debt of gratitude to those who have fought and died to protect these and all our other rights.
In spite of our differences we are still the greatest country in the world. For these things I am thankful.

Aside from parroting entities and documents (very important though they are) to be very materialistic - I gotta go with the availability of bulk ammo these days. Even growing up outside of Anoka, Minnesota with much of my family working at Federal, I recall how expensive and difficult it was to amass the load of ammo expected for a long week of shooting up north when you knew the local shops only carried onesie-twosies and even then often not what you actually wanted.

1. The US Army for showing me how much fun shooting can be.

2. The 2nd Amendment for letting everybody indulge in shooting, even those who are not in the military or police.

3. My wife for putting up with the costs of this hobby cause she enjoys it now, too. :D

That I have my grandfather's Rem. .22 rifle...
that I still have the Savage mod. 24 .22/410 O/U from my father...

and that I got into reloading in the early '70's
