OK let's settle another thread with this totally unscientific poll. In your opinion, is the zeitgeist in the US generally turning favor of gun ownership or are things on the decline? Or are things pretty much as they've ever been?

We report, you decide!
 
Hm, are you measuring gun ownership as a number of people or a percentage of the population?
I'm not intending this to measure anything other than one's perception. It's simply an attempt to gauge perceived public sentiment from the limited audience at THR, and in the US at that.

I'm curious, did things used to be better? When? Why?
 
I don't believe gun owners have seen better times than today since at least before 1968.
 
I think the issue is becoming more polarized. More pro-gun folks are becoming 2A-absolutists, and more anti-gun people are seeing an all out ban as their ultimate goal.
