First off I'll admit I like Glenn Beck and listen to his podcast almost daily on my commute to work, with that said I do rather frequently disagree with some of his beliefs/opinions.
But to the point, he has always been a supporter and friend of the NRA, he has been a speaker at the NRA annual meeting four times, three of which he was the keynote speaker, he's been very supportive to say the least.
Before I heard his radio show the other I don't belive I had ever heard of Grover Norquist, but he (Grover) apparently is currently on the NRA board and is currently running for reelection. He has apparently been at least somewhat on the public scene for several years.
Glenn had a good bit to say about Grover such as "Many of the reasons why we’re on the wrong track now in the Middle East is because of the influence of Grover Norquist" and "when it comes to the Muslim Brotherhood and Islam, this guy is on the wrong side whether he knows it or not, I don’t believe he’s out trying to destroy America, but his efforts and his work will lead to the destruction of America,”
All this has now lead to the NRA saying they will be starting an ethics investigation.
I have tried, with no luck, to find nonbiased information on the web about Grover people with hate Glenn and/or his guest he interviewed that day and therefore dismiss everything or they seem to make lots of accusations with little evidence. Grover denies the allegations, or at least he has in the past. They don't seem to be new allegations either, so he's had plenty to say in rebuttal, but obviously it's biased information.
In short I'm quiet lost and will just have to trust the NRA's investigation, I guess. If anyone knows anything factual please share. If not this is at least something to keep track of.
