Glenn Beck hates Ron Paul and doesn't think Fred Thompson is a good idea.

Word out of Washington is after Al Gore wins nobel, he'll run and team with Obama as his VP and should win the election.
The dems don't want no part of Hillary.

Nobel winners are announced late in the year. By then it will be way too late for the Goricle to run.

Better Fred than Red

Yes, Economist. He makes no secret of it. In fact, he has mentioned a couple of times that he is trying to back off promoting books such as "The Mormon Way Of Doing Business" so he doesn't become known as the 'Mormon Spokesman'.

Who is Glen Beck?
This guy on headline news who spent the other night with the authors of the "Left Behind" series discussing how these were likely the "end times."

He's completely nonpartisan, driven solely by facts, and is like the exact opposite of the "mainstream media," being on Headline News and all...

Or so I'm told, anyway...

I didn't know he was considered to be a serious political commentator.

He's not. By his own admition he is basically a rodeo clown, but he is a thinker.

saw him yesterday for the first time...... seems like an A-hole

Give him a few weeks and you'll have a burning white hot hatred for him. Give him a few more weeks after that and you'll get it. I do agree that his television show is heavy on islamofascism, but you know what he needs to be because people are forgetting.

In the interest of full disclosure I am a Glenn Beck insider and have been listening to his radio show daily since it has been on in my local market. I don't agree with everything Beck says, for example I agree with him on Ron Paul but disagree with him on Fred Thompson.

Should point out, just for THR, that Glenn is a HUGE gun rights supporter. He even complains on air (radio and TV) that he has a CCW permit but can't carry to work with him in NYC thanks to Rudy's city gun laws.

Glenn Beck sounds more like a morning DJ than a political commentator. I can't take anything he says seriously. If he didn't attempt to inject a comedy routine into almost every segment, there wouldn't be any reason to listen to his show.

Unfortunately, Beck and the other political commentators do have an influence on the their respective audiences. That is the only reason I care what Beck thinks. If Beck is ridiculing the prospects of candidates like Ron Paul and Fred Thompson, he is helping to ensure that we end up with a RINO as the Republican nominee.

If you listened to Glenn Beck aside from his very short tv show you would know that he does support Fred Thompson, if Fred would commit. In so far a schilling for Rudy Giuliani, again if you listened to his radio show you know that he is only saying that at least Giuliani says what he means, and does what he says. However, I think everyone knows that Giuliani has a snow balls chance in hell of making it through the primaries, especially in the South.

Ron Paul might be the greatest guy in the world, but based on that debate my first real exposure to him, bleh.

Honestly, if Fred doesn't run, the writing is on the wall, we're toast in the next election. McCain looks unhinged, Giuliani is the proverbial liberal rose, Romney is all fluff over substance, the rest are essentially unelectable.

Maybe we should switch party affiliations and try and get a moderate on the democratic ticket.

That enough from me, I need to go consult with my zionist masters before I write more...

Beck is pimping Giulliani because he stands the best chance of winning and Romney because he and Beck are both Mormon.

Biker

your a little off
Beck does not like Giulliani per 2end amendment ( Beck Carries)
and Abortion .

Beck just recently started "carrying" as you put it - even though he doesn't carry (it's a finger in the wind thing) and he gave Romney a pass concerning his "I've changed my mind" thing on abortion.

It's about ratings.

Not true Biker, he got his concealed weapon permit when he moved to the Tampa before his show went national. In so far as giving Romney a pass, at least he asked him about it, and people can change their minds you know.

"It is my deep personal conviction that abortion is wrong. I hope that some day we will see the current outrageously large number of abortions drop sharply. . . . Let me assure you that I share your belief that innocent human life must be protected . . . In my opinion, it is wrong to spend federal funds for what is arguably the taking of a human life. . . ." (Letter from Rep. Al Gore to a Constituent, 7/18/84)

Glen Beck is pretty cool

He has come around a whole lot on the gun issue, it shows he has an open mind.
afaik he converted to LDS after getting sober, and good for him on both counts!

No TV personality gets it half right but Glenn, I am starting to like him more then Hannity and I like Hannity more then Bill Oriely

Well, Beck sounds like a morning DJ because he was a morning DJ for quite some time. And frankly, I don't hear him pimping Guiliani hard at all.. the closest he comes is "this is my very most important issue, and as much as don't trust (or actively dislike) G on all these other issues, on this most important one, I like him." Personally I don't agree with Beck's conclusions there, but I can at least see his point. (Hannity however, I will totally agree is pimping G, making every excuse for him he can. Blegh!)

As to the Mormon thing, yeah Beck is. I don't think that's what's behind his relatively soft support of Romney though - it sounds like it's much the same as a lot of other conservatives - of the "big three" his espoused positions are the most conservative. The thing is, Romney just sounds like a slick used car salesman.

As to Ron Paul - I think orionengnr has the right of it. It's not a "hatred" at all - it's just looking at the field as it is right now. Paul's chances in the primary are low, and in the general election next to nill. And frankly, yeah at least on some of those questions Paul wasn't exactly helping himself with his answers.

nevertheless, kaylee, he won not only the debate poll on MSNBC, but also on 2 other major polls

Ron Offers Last Chance for Americans

Here is a video of Dr. Paul's responses:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Hfa7vT02lA

From my perspective, Ron is this nation's only hope - not for something as inane as "saving the GOP" - but for beginning the awesome task of reinstating a gov't limited to the Constitution and Bill of Rights; a much nobler goal in my opinion.

We've let the "pundits" and "expirts" define the arguments, I'm afraid. The CONTENT of what Paul had to say (not to mention the ideology) FAR SURPASSES THAT OF THE STOOGES IN GOV'T TODAY.

I'm not a fan of Glen Bunk, in fact I really dislike the show, because it's the same recycled hash that's on every other neocon radio/tv show, but I have gained a small measure of respect for him for speaking on the college CCW issue. For whatever that's worth.

When it comes down to the polls I will be voting Republican regardless of the candidate. I defiantly have a preference now but if its between Hillary and Gulianni, I would pick the lesser of the two gun grabbers. I just hope I will never have to make that choice.
