Glock 19 Or Cz P-01?

Which is the better choice and why? It will be used for carry, home, car, range, etc. G19 & CZ P-01, does one "have it" over the other?

The Glock is the better choice imo. Shoot both if you can and make your decision.

I have a Glock19 and use it for the same purpose you describe yours would be used for. I think its a great gun. Never shot the CZ.

Bought a Glock 19 in the late 80's. Great gun. I shot a CZ P-01 2 years ago. The Glock is now gone, and I have three P-01's.
The CZ is as reliable, points better, and is more accurate. The Glock 19 is a very good pistol, but it is a distant second to the P-01.

Instead of the P-01, check out the PCR. Similar gun without the light rail. I have the PCR and shot the G-19. Both are great guns, just like the lightweight, alloy PCR better.

PILOT: The advantage of the P-01 over the PCR is the P-01 frame is FORGED and the PCR frame is CAST..This was done with the P-01 due to the NATO durability testing...

They're both excellent guns and roughly the same size. See which one fits your hand better before deciding; there's a rather significant difference between them in form, but function-wise, they're going to be dead on even.

Parts and accessories will be far easier to find for the Glock, so if that is a major concern for you, then that pretty well makes your choice, but I'd think fit to your hand should be the primary concern.

I'd have kept my G19 if I'd shot it as well as I do the CZ P01 and PCR. I didn't need two 9mm compact autoloaders with different manual of arms, though, so the G19 was sold. They're both reliable pistols, pick whichever works better for you. Hard to go wrong with either.

I have owned both, here is what you should consider.

CZ, heavier dA pull, heavier overall, more comfortable grip, and more natural pointer.

Glock, same trigger pull each shot, lighter,

I only own the CZ now. I prefer a heavier DA pull if there is no external safety. Plus I like the way the CZ points. I miss the Glock trigger, and weight. But I feel more comfortable keeping one in the chamber with the CZ over the Glock.

welcome to thr. get the glock, it will run and run and run when other guns stop they keep going. they are accuarte reliable, and they are proven the world over.

I've had both. CZ-P01 is better IMHO. Feels better in my hand. I can shoot the P01 a lot more accurately. I am not fond of plastic pistols. CZ all the way!
