Just got this in and it's a blast. L&M Precision did the milling/drilling/tapping for the optic, and installed steel suppressor-height backup sights. You CAN co-witness the red dot in the lower portion of the window but I find it easier to just hold the dot in the center of the window and ignore the sights. This setup is similar to the new S&W M&P C.O.R.E. pistol, which comes from the factory with provision for any of the 5 most popular micro red dot optics, and higher sights.

They take a bit of getting used to, particularly if you're experienced only with traditional front sights. You have to kind of train yourself to focus on the targets instead of on the front sight. But once you get the hang of it you can be very quick.

For those with eye issues, aging eyes, astigmatism, etc., the new developments with red dots on carry/defensive pistols can be a godsend.

You can check prices at L&M's site below; it's about $150 for the milling/drilling/tapping work, and it is expertly done. There are multiple options available. You can buy RMRs directly from them, buy complete slides, buy complete pistols, or send yours in for piecemeal work. I would do business with them again without reservation.

Video for those interested: (forgive my crappy shooting... I have a cold. Yeah, that's the ticket.)

Mark Housel is the best- outstanding workmanship, reasonably priced, quick turn around.

I have a G26 and G19 equipped with RMRs, I find them a huge help for my aging eyes as well.

Nice. Doug at ATEi did my G19. He does RMR's, press-check/cocking serrations, and lots of other neat stuff.

Wow, great video review. That electronic sighting system has to be the way of the future. How visible is it in outdoor daylight sun?

Not sure yet, but judging by the brightness indoors in full lighting I'm wagering there'll be no issues. I've shot "dimmer" micro red dots outdoors with smaller MOA dots and you can see them fine.

With the RMR on top of the slide I might consider some forward/top serrations to help get a grip.

The RMR is a pretty good handle itself- no need for more serrations, unless you just like them.

Nice. I get the good fortune of having a lot of land to shoot on privately as I please. But it is in Mississippi, so 100 degree summers and rainy spring and falls make indoor ranges look really nice.

Good review btw
