Where did you get those mags?

At which online retailer did you get those mags so inexpensively?

Sysapse

Check Glocktalk. I didn't say you'd find them at a retailer for that much, although CDNN and similar places routinely sell them for the price I mentioned.

Doesnt say if they are NFML NDF or FML Drop free mags.

I'd assume at that price they are the non full metal lined non drop free mags.

Heck, I have 2 each 17 round G17 NFML NDF mags I'd sell for $40 each if anyone wants them.

G19 is my main carry peice, and I love it.

One thing to watch out for though is trouble with the 2183 follower. A small percent of G19s have trouble feeding the last JHP out of the mag with that follower.

I have had 2 that have had that problem. Switch to 9mm3 follower stops the problem.

mags

the 15rd mags are new 2nd gen fully metal lined drop free, the 33rds are scherer brand new drop free metal lined on witness hole side only. [email protected] for the glock original 15's. www.topglock.com for the 33's
both come with m/back if not satisified. ive ran 2000 thru all with no problems. the same 15's were 115 @ dallas gun show & the 33's were 90 - 100 @ same show. the 15's are for original 19's the 33's were for the g-18 all work in all 9mm. good luck

Got my NIB G19 last year.3rd generation with finger grooves and rail.505 various rounds(I don't get a chance to go shooting much) through it with zero malfunctions.Light weight for carry. As accurate as I'm able to shoot it.Give it a try and see how you like it.

There's alot to know about Glock standard cap (high-cap) pre-ban mags. It pays to do some research before buying. The cheapest on the market are non-full-metal-lined-non-drop-free (NFML NDF) G17 mags. Real Glock factory pre-ban full metal lined G19 mags are generally going from $60 to $80 depending on condition and location (at gun shows they will often go from $80 to $100). They are cheaper if not FML. Also might be cheaper if they have old followers. Aftermarket mags are cheapest but not same quality.

I will preach to the choir as well, absolutely love my 19! My favorite handgun and Glock by far. I will proably pick up another 19, I like it that much.

If you want to stick with 9mm, the G19 is an excellent way to go. The HK USPs are also good, but the mags cost twice as much as the Glock and its much harder to find hi-caps.

Having said that, take a look at the Glock model 30. This is what I carry every day. 10+1 rounds of .45acp in a compact, lightweight package at a reasonable price. The G30 is hard to beat. The G30s will also accept G21 mags so if you want to carry a 13rd spare mag, you can do that as well.

I once started a thread on TFL that stated that I thought the Glock 19 was the perfect semi-autoloading pistol.

I still feel that way. It is the perfect size. It is the perfect weight. It is accurate and reliable. It is very concealable. It is controllable. Real perfection is a G19 with a 15 round magazine. Alas I only have 10 rounders which must be downloaded to 9 to be reliable. 15 round factory G19 pre-ban mags cost a fortune. Let us all pray for the AWB sunset!!

My perfect combo is a G19 as primary and another G19 as backup.

Would you like to prove that by standing at the receiving end of a 9mm?

Ineffective dosen't mean it won't send you to the hospital. And no one who isn't a moron would stand in front of any kind of gun. :scrutiny:

The standard service sidearm of the Chinese and Russian police and military is the 9x18 Makarov. Some European and South American police still use the .32ACP, but most are transitioning to the 9mm which is considered a very powerful cartridge outside the USA. But of course here in the US anything less than a .45ACP is considered a pathetic weakling incapable of causing even minor bleeding.

I wonder how many here have ever actually shot real human beings? I haven't, but from what I've heard from those who have is that where the bullet was placed, and how fast they delivered repeat hits was far more important than how fat the bullet was. I choose the 1911 .45ACP simply because I shoot it well and prefer a subsonic round with ample power, but a 9mm lover can easily make a good case IMO as long as they have access to modern JHP ammo.
