Hey I was wondering who all had the G20 and what would I expect to pay for a good deal? I am really interested in this firearm.

There is another thread running right now on the G20. http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=241666

I have one. Paid $495 NIB for the gun and it came with 3 each 15 round mags.

I purchased 2 aftermarket barrels from Storm Lake since I reload and push the limits. The factory Glock barrel is ok for most factory ammo but if you reload then I would recommend an aftermarket barrel.

Here's a couple pics of my G20.

Is that a Don Hume holster? As I like Glocks and LOVE the 10mm cartridge, I will probably opt for a G20 as my next Glock.

The Monster Glock.

I bought a Glock 20 brand new this summer for $575 ( which is a little high ). I used to have the Glock 29 also, but there was really no need for it, but it was great too. I will not sale the Glock 20 though, in my opinion it's the perfect semi-auto. True full - power ammo is a little difficult to find, but the factory stuff is usually right up there with .45 +p (.40 S&W, worst case scenario ). If you decide to buy it, trust me you won't be disappointed. Pay a little visit to DoubleTap or Buffalo Bore and you'll see what I mean.

I just bought a Glock 20 on Tuesday and waiting to pick it up. I paid $585.00 for it, I probably got ripped off but I guess it was a impulsive buy. Anyway I hope i like it.

Glock 20's in my part of Virginia go for about $595. There's one under my tree right now.

Robert,
You didn't get ripped off. It's about right from what I see here in MD (another reason I hate this place is the high gun prices, I digress).

It's a great pistol and an excellent platform for the 10mm!

Glock 10mm is definitely on my want list. I'm waiting for a longslide and then I'll be first in line. Until then my Model 34 from Santa will keep me occupied.

The jury has reached the verdict

I have decided that I am going to sell my P220 and get a Glock 20. I Do love the P220 however, I cannot ignore the power/capacity of the G20. ...Think im fallin in love lol.

I wandered into a gun shop, looking for a S&W revolver (a M19, I believe, was on the list that day). I came across a LNIB G20 for $400. I almost didn't buy it, but a little voice in my head started yelling that I would be sorry.

Well, I wouldn't want to be sorry. So, I walked out with it. Once I got to THR and asked about price, I was pretty happy. :D

My good deals help finance my bad deals. ;)

Oh, and the G20 rocks. It is a very fun gun to shoot. Ugly as sin, but fun.

Good lord! Dubble tap has 10mm ammo cheaper than .45:cool: Oh yeah and will the G20 shoot the full power loads fine as is?

The G-20 is a great choice!!!!! When I bought mine I didn't think I would like it because of the larger frame/grip and the hot loads, but it shoots better for me than the 22 or 31 that I had. My wife even wanted one after shooting mine (she's doing about 4" groups at 15 yards with very little experience and hot DT ammo! That's my girl! :D ). I got her one for Christmas (a bit early), and she loves it.

As far as price goes, you will probably be spending $550-600 on a NIB Glock 20. It will be worth every penny!

I think mine's probably valued at a little over $1000 right now, but that's with a trigger job, magwell, SS guide rod, ext. mag release, ext. slide catch, various aftermarket springs, sights (Trijicons on there right now, but a new set of TFO's sitting on the bench waiting to go back on), 6" Jarvis barrel, and a couple of other small parts. Everything that has been done has been worth it. That's the nice thing about the Glock- lots of goodies if you want, but you don't have to do anything to them if you don't want to.

With the 6" barrel the G-20 can do low-to-mid .41 mag ballistics with comparable bullet weights up to 230 grain. The 10mm can not touch the hot .41 mag stuff, but then again you can't carry 15+1 rounds of .41 in your wheel gun either!

As well, you can drop a sub-$100 conversion barrel in and shoot cheap .40 at the range all day long. Overall, and excellent choice! By far the most versatile handgun I have seen, and definitely the one I would choose if I could only have one handgun for several applications. You will not be disappointed!!!!!!!!!!

I just got my Glock 20 today and have a quick question. When I looked in the case their was a yellow envelope that has two fired 10mm bullets in them. What are these for? If you guys could get back to me I would greatly appreciate it.

Or was it two fired cases? Some states require that for some stupid reason. Keep them, toss them, its up to you.

Enjoy your new purchase.

There were a couple of states that were requiring fired cases from each gun sold to be submitted to the DOJ for "fingerprinting" purposes. The idea was that if the gun was used in a crime the spent casings could later be matched for positive ID of the firearm.

If my memory serves me correctly, Massachusets was one state that built a huge "library" of these casings, all to the tune of many millions of dollars. This system has not resulted in one single conviction, and I'm not sure if it's even still in force. Love useless feel-good legislation. . . :cuss: :banghead:

Here is a question on Glock conversions...Can a 10mm barrel and mag be installed in a G21 45acp? It would be cool to have both calibers on the same frame...

Seems like DT has the best prices on full power 10mm. Dang I can buy in bulk and it would be cheaper than alot of .45 ammo around here.
