I am about to purchase a Glock 20 sf 10mm and for target practice I am looking for a 40 S&W conversion barrel. Does any one have any input on what brand of barrel to get.....I don't want to have any gunsmithing done, and the price could also be a factor too. Thanks for any input you would have, John.

Look at www.topglock.com I've never ordered anything from them but they used to carry conversion barrels. I have a G-20 and have thought about doing the same, but there is not enough difference in price between 40 and 10mm for me to justify the cost. I just buy more 10mm ammo.

I put a LWD .40 S&W replacement barrel in a G23 and it worked fine so I'm sold on LWD. I have a new G20SF and will be getting a LWD .40 S&W conversion barrel as well as a replaclement 10mm barrel to shoot lead. I've learned LWD also has some 9MM conversion barrels for the G20 but they don't list/advertise them. Reportedly shooting 9mm in a G20 is a little tricky getting them to operate properly. If I didn't reload and wanted cheap practice ammo I'd opt for a 9mm barrel and putz with it to make it work. LWD might give you some ideas on what recoil springs to use and what magazines, etc for 9mm. For .40 S&W same G20 mags apparently work fine.

I have Storm Lake, KKM, and Lone Wolf. All are reliable and I'm glad I bought them.

Be warned, TopGlock can be HIDEOUSLY slow.
