Hey all,

Quick question here, not sure if this is something that I can fix myself, or if it is something that I might have to contact Glock about it.

I recently got a G21sf (3rd gen) and regrettably like the brick-like monstrosity pretty well... :neener:

The only thing I've noticed when shooting that I don't like is that the spent cases tend to eject straight back, hitting either my head, going down my shirt, etc....

I don't believed this is "limp-wrist", I have been shooting for quite a while and can fire any other handgun reliably. I have also had a couple friends familiar with handgun shooting try the gun out and it does the same thing. Have also used several different types of ammo with no apparent change, although my Hornady JHP seemed to perform just a little better.

Any ideas on this, or should I check with Glock?

Thanks!

Check over on Glocktalk for a post and video about the polish job done by TexasPOff on the extractor. I did mine myself following his directions and it seems to work. Several people have tried it and everyone is happy so far.

The problem with brass in your face is an extractor problem not the ejector, or so it seems.

You know both my G30sf and G21 did the exact same thing. When I first got them. (especially with light ball ammo mainly blazer brass) Try Winchester white box or UMC. After 200-300 rounds if it's still acting up then start worrying.

Why even consider not calling; it's a toll free number. I usually get connected to an armorer very quickly. But I always start my request with, "I have a problem with my model ## ........ ".

I own eight Glocks and beginning with the first (model 20) in 1991 they've all done what you've described. No big deal to me. Little ol' spent case is a lot smaller than this old bird.

Thanks for the info, I might give the polishing job a try that is mentioned over on Glock Talk...

I did see the Lone Wolf has their own version of a 21 extractor, I've been thinking about getting one of their barrels, should I go ahead and order one of their extractors with it?

Thanks

The guys on the other forum say it is a pretty good fix for the brass problem. I just polished mine and saved a little money. If you're gonna buy a barrel anyway it might be a good idea to go ahead and get the extractor. Be sure to get the new bearing to go with it.
