Glock 23 or 35 Gen 4 Light Rail

Can someone tell me if the Glock M23 and M35 Gen 4 light rail works with a light which is made for a Weaver style/Picatinny rail?

The G23 and G35 have the universal handgun rail, which is different than a Picatinny rail (which is also different from a Weaver rail). Sometimes you can get a light with a Picatinny rail to fit a universal rail (or vice-versa), but the switch rarely makes the proper index at or around the trigger guard.

So, what is the specific light in question?

ugaarguy, sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread. Been a busy morning. The light in question is NcStar with 3W Light Combo bar code 814108012571. I'm being told it will fit but I have my doubts and it is for a gift so I want to be sure.
