I own a G-27 and have gotten to the point where that round in that small a gun is ok,but not fun to shoot.

So I was pondering the question as to the barrel and mag change to turn it into a 9MM version.

They are the same size and I dont see a problem.

Any tried this or been advised not to,thanks y'all.

I use Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel in my Glock 27 to shoot 9mm rounds. If you don't like the stainless finish, you can get them with black finish or threaded. If you don't like the wolf logo, you can buy the barrel without it.

For me, G27 magazines work well to reliably feed 9mm rounds (I do use G17 mags when using the conversion barrels in my G22/G23 for reliable feeding).

Same here. Lone Wolf 40 to 9 barrel. Thousands of rounds fired without a hiccup. You can use your .40 magazines. I bought a ton of G26 mags when they were cheaper.

Thank y'all

I am so pleased to hear this as I ordered the Lone Wolf barrel and 2 9MM mags and now that I see you use the .40 cal mags I am even happier as I have a few of them.

I am a wolf fan [ got the Tat on the bicep ] so the logo is VERY cool for me.

Thank you all for the good news.

I owned, and later sold, a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel for my G27. I liked it so much I bought a G26 so I sold the barrel.

The barrel swap in my G27 was all that was needed to essentially "build" a fully functional and reliable 9mm. I initially used G17 magazines but later used G26 magazines. Both were flawless as to chambering and extraction. Accuracy was outstanding.

I'm not a big fan of the 40 caliber round. So I'd say go with the 9mm especially in that size of pistol. I have a G26 and it comes back on target much better for me than if it was a 40 cal. JMHO.
