One Glock to rule them all

I wonder what Glock would say if they could only Manufacturer one model? 9mm is the most versatile cartridge and used more by military, Police and civilians than any other. What model of Glock is used for training than all the others. Police, Security Guard companies etc? What model has a dedicated 22.cal for training to all? I believe there is a reason that Glock manufactured the New 44 and choose the 19 as the model.

I agree, I would imagine their response to only being able to make one would hinge on their sales, and nothing else. Probably the same logic taken when they designed the G44 on the G19 specs.

I have a 19.4, a 30S, a 43 and a couple of 42s.

As the best overall Glock I would have to pick the 19 ... but I personally like the 30S a bit more, probably because it shoots so darn well/easily/naturally, it is somewhat compact (somewhat ... though nowhere near as compact as my XDses) and I just like .45acp. ;)

Wonder how it would work. Anyone ever tried it?

I’ve seen a video of someone doing grip enhancing with JB Weld and carbide grit of some sort. Probably only good for a house gun though because even a small area rubbing your skin wouldn’t be tolerable.

Been thinking about one lately. Never owned a .40. Is it worth adding another caliber?

If you have a G19 you like, and shoot 147 gr. well... Probably not.

I started w/ the .40 at its birth.

The only 9mm Para I have is a fairly recent micro SIG P938 addition.

Transitioned way back when from SA .357 Mag. revolvers to first an unsatisfactory Colt Officer's .45 ACP, then to the satisfactory but heavy then-new Star Firestar M-40 .40, and eventually the G23.2 and then G23.4.

If you are not crazy about the 9mm Para?

Then, yes, by all means.

The Gen4 G23's are outstanding w/ 180 gr. ammo, and it's only a little more expensive to shoot.

That’s just it. I think “nine is fine”. And to me the sweet spot for Glocks is 9mm. I’ve been thinking about it for quite a while. Probably think about it for quite a while longer.
