Glock 27 rumor true?

As far as limp-wristing, GLOCKs are certainly more forgiving than a 1911 in that regard.

Not from what I've seen, although I suppose it depends on which 1911.

.40 SW is a high pressure round, and that's probably more the cause than the design of the gun.

Actually, the 9mm Glocks are the most prone to limp-wristing by far. Like I said earlier, you'd have to try fairly hard to get a .40 S&W Glock (or any other) to fail this way, and it won't do so consistently, unlike the 9mm models.

I'm sure that part of the reason is the light weight of Glocks, but even if that is the case, other lightweight polymer pistols such as the M&P and XD aren't nearly as prone. So there definitely is something about the design involved, but let's not overstate the issue here. Obviously it doesn't affect reliability appreciably or else Glocks (even in 9mm) wouldn't be so dead reliable, but generally they are. Also, since .40 S&W is the caliber we're talking about in this thread, limp-wristing is even less of an issue to begin with. The only real issue is for those who are concerned with being able to shoot a gun with injured hands or arms. This is a personal thing, as we all have different sets of advantages and disadvantages that we are comfortable with.

Just forget the rumors... as long as you shoot factory ammo you are GOOD TO GO! My G27 is my favorite pistol and I carry it daily. And what do ya know? ... I shoot factory ammo and it hasn't "KABOOMED"

For the record, a lot of Glock haters will ALWAYS bring up the whole kaboom issue just to stir the pot. Just ignore it. Just like 1911 lovers will talk down about "plastic junk." Don't get me wrong 1911 guys, I do love 1911's... Just sayin haha

Always read the manual

I have three glock .40 pistol's I have never had any problem or malfunction with anyone of them, one has well over 1k rounds down range, but I do not shoot reloads, and in my opinion after reading the following out of my glock owners manual, you should not shoot reloaded ammo out of a glock pistol.

Before using the Glock pistols, the operating instructions and safety information is this manual must be read and understood.

No liability whatever can be accepted if inexpertly manufactured or inexpertly filled ammunition is used.
All liability whatever is excluded in the event of these instructions not being observed.

side note: anyone can reload ammo, but there are only a few experts.

another vote for the G27 I have a first generation one and have fired more rounds than I care to remember with out ever having a problem . I KNOW that my gun will work anytime I need it.I love the feel of this weapon so much I traded a custom SP101 in .357 for it ,and I loved that gun!. My Glock is my primary carry peice.

My G27 has been flawless. No failures or explosions. I know several people with G27's and the same results.

That said, I would opt for the G26 personally.
