Just for giggles, which do you like for concealed carry. I love XD's, but I have always wanted a 10mm. I would love you hear your thoughts. :neener:

And by "xds", I mean the new, tiny, .45acp XDS. Not plural of "XD."

Well, it just so happens that I have both of those guns. I carry either one, but the XDs conceals better.

Apples and oranges. The XDm 3.8 Compact in .45 is a closer comparison to the sf. In that race I would take the .45 over the 10mm due to availabilty of ammo and I would take the XDs over the sf due to the longer grip on the Springfield. I haven't fired a 29sf but if the triggers on those are similar to other models of that brand then the Springfield shines again. Throw in the visual and tactile loaded chamber indicator and cocked striker indicator, grip safety and easier field strip and it's Springfield all the way. Not to meniton you can actually find spare magazines for Springfield.

Also, Plan2live:
Does the XDS have the cocked striker indicator? I thought it was unique in the XD line because it did not have one.

Not trying to derail this, but comparing the XDs to the G36 would be a bit more of apple vs apple, right? They're both compact, single-stack polymer 45s.

Do you have a preference of those two?

I prefer the G29SF for shooting, and the XDs for carrying. I haven't had them both out at the same time yet. All my shooting has been suspended until the hysteria dies down. I'm moving soon and my reloading gear is packed away.

I don't have a Glock 29SF, but I do have a Glock 20 and an XDs. I have handled the 29SF. To large a chubby for pocket carry. Shooting some really hot loads that make my 20 jump, probably would be interesting in the 29.

Accuracy? The SA XDs, by a mile. OK not a mile, but mine is the most accurate small gun I own. I like the way it feels in the hand a breeze to carry.

Re-read my post, my comments were crafted using the comparison of the XDm 3.8 vs the 29sf since that is a more apples to apples comparison.
