Why are the 3.5lb connectors going for $20 on average, while the 5lb and 8lb connectors are around $5?

Simple economics.

It has probably been determined that the number of people willing to pay $20.00 produce the highest profit over the likely increased demand with people willing to pay $10.00, or decreased demand by charging $30.00.

Or at least it should have been.

Check out the "for sale" forums on GT. There's a guy there who sells the Glock factory 3.5# connectors for $11, shipped. You can also get the Scherer connectors from Brownell's for $13+ shipping.;

Genuine Glock 3.5# connectors can be had for $11 delivered to your doorstep. I bought 2 of them a few months ago. Ordered them from a guy in South Africa. He goes by the name hotel9 over on glocktalk.com. Took about 2 weeks for delivery to the states. Package arrived with all kinds of cool postage stamps on it. The guy is on the up-and-up -- I've never heard any complaints.

Ditto what rmcdave said.

I have bought several 3.5lb connectors from Lance (Hotel9)

$11.00 including shipping, and these are genuine Glock factory connectors.

Buy with confidence

glock does not permit the sale of #3.5's in the usa for liability reasons. any #3.5 you buy is "blackmarket".

there is another source with far quicker delivery. he is out of stock according to his site but email him anyway.

You'd think that Glock would offer to sell replacement 3.5# connectors for those pistols that come standard with the 3.5# connector.

I'm not at all concerned about the liability issue, so I use 3.5# connectors in all my Glocks.
