Glock 32 (.357sig)

Does anyone have any experience with the Glock 32 (.357sig).

In particular, I'm looking for input from what I would call a regular: someone who carries it, shoots it, maybe even completes with it. Seems to be a good balance of size, weight, high-capacity and power.

Thanks in advance for any insights you might have.

I like mine alot. It shoots well, functions all the time, is plenty accurate and it is on par with the old 357 Magnum as far as power. I also like the loud muzzle blast. Recoil isn't any worse than a 9mm +P. Great selection of really good ammo too.

I have a G32 and a G31. The only time I ever want to use the G32 over the G31 is for carrying. I shoot both 9+p and .357SIG, and the sig is worse, but not uncontrolable. For fun shooting, and competition, I prefer the full size. Its easier to shoot fast.

Although, I don't know if I'd get the 31 again if I had to do it over. I'd get the 17, because 9 mil ammo comes in hot and mild. .357SIG only comes in hot.

I might recommend a Glock 23 in .40, because you can drop in a .357 Sig replacement barrel for it and get the best of both worlds.

And the winner is...

In looking for a suitable firearm, the following were most important to me:

Size (compacts only);
Weight (light, but not keltec light);
Capacity (more is better);
Caliber (set in stone: .357sig);
Price: less is more.

With magazines that would not protrude past the butt of the grip (no extended magazine), I seriously considered:

1. Sig239: 27.5 ounces empty; capacity: 7 round magazine capacity
2. S&W M&P .357Sig compact: 22.2 ounces (no magazine); capacity: 10 round magazine
3. Glock32: 22.52 ounces (unloaded); capacity: 13 round magazine

All of the above are in and around the same price.

Pros of #1: Steel and feel; Cons: weight and lack of capacity
Pros of #2: Customer Service, price; Cons: capacity
Pros of #3: Capacity to weight ratio; Cons: 1 year warranty;

And the winner is.... (Please see attached!)

The Glock 32 is my favorite firearm. I have a tricked out 1911 Colt that used to be my favorite firearm, but I find the Glock 32 a more instinctive shooter, more accurate, and easier to carry. While recoil is subjective, it seems to recoil less than the 1911.

I looked at the H&K and a Sig before buying the Glock. I liked the squared off trigger guard on the Glock better than the round one on the Sig and the Sig was heavier. I did not like the magazine release on the H&K. In addition, the Glock cost less.

I've only fired one Glock 32 and I really enjoyed it, plus I found it super accurate.

If I could afford the ammo I would seriously consider one, but for now i'll just have to stick with the Glock 19.

Thanks everyone for the input; a good discussion. I opted for the G32.

As both this brand and this caliber is a first, I'm looking forward to the first range session. Report to follow.

G32: A brief range report: fired about 300 rounds through it, so far. Not one hiccup.
Fired it weak hand, strong hand, two-handed, etc: no issues. Sights are easy to pick up. Accurate, flat-shooting, recoil is manageable. All in all, an excellent balance of accuracy, capacity, affordability and shootability. Glad I tried one, at long last.

I've been considering getting a G32 for a long time as well. Like you, I was also dead set on getting a 357sig in a compact size for easier CC. The G32s frame fit my hand really well too. More recently, though, I opted for the Springfield XD in 357 sig for various reasons. Its on layaway right now at my local shop but I'm glad you've had good experience with your choice thus far.
