i would like to start this thread to discuss an informed and experienced discussion on the glock 36 as my choice for a concealed weapon. i am to pick up this gun with XSsights in a Blackhawk Serpa holster in the next day or two. this is strictly for self defense as i walk with a cane and travel to a lot of out of the way boat ramps in south florida. i have spent much research on this weapon and own two glocks (17 & 22C) which have never given me the first problem. i have read much positive and some negative with this model 36. most of the problems were dated around 2000 to 2003. were these feeding and ejection problems addressed and "fixed" by glock? no glock bashing please. just truth and fact! let me hear from you people who serve and carry. thanks.

I had one once -- I just never got use to the thick/short grip. If I were to do it today, I'd get a kahr p45

I always said I'd never own a Glock. That is, until I held a G36. Almost same size grip as my 1911's, and with the Pearce grip extension, can get full grip on it, and still conceals easier than my XD Sub compact w/ the 10 rd. mag.

i am not a fan of the baby glocks, but it is a glock and the ones that i have seen and used (36 that is) have been reliable, and as accurate as to be expected form such a small gun, it wouldn't be my first choice for me, but they are good to go, and i think you will be just fine with the 36.

btw great idea getting the xs sights they are the best sights on the market for defense imho.

"Would I carry a Glock 36 for cc?", yes I do every day. It is my truck gun, my go anywhere gun. I prefer to shoot 1911's, but I carry a 36 because of size and weight. No malfunctions as long as you feed it the correct ammo. Mine doesn't like flat tip bullets and some of the bighole hollow points, but other than that, it shoots everything else. Get the Piece +0 extensions. You will like the feel and it doesn't inhibit the concealability.

Yes. I just got one last week.

Here is the post I made on another BB:

So I picked up a G-36 yesterday after much research and many trips to my local store trying to decide if I wanted a G-30, or a G-36.

I took my new G36 to the range over lunch today. 150 flawless rounds later, and I have a nice little blood blister on my pinky. This thing is not unlike my other Glocks. Accurate as heck, especially once I started short stroking the trigger. I went ahead and got some Gold Dot 230 Short Barrel rounds for it. I was skeptical at first that this was just a marketing gimmick, but the one on the right is for sure different from the regular line. I did some research on Brassfetcher.

And here are some comparison pics of the G36 next to a Colt New Agent, and a Kahr PM45:

Here are some comparison pics of a G-36, Colt New Agent, and a PM45. There is also a P38t in the mix as someone asked me to do that one too. So here goes:
