Hello everyone. My awesome range decided to put their first G43 in the rental case instead of listing it on Gunbroker and they've made it available to members to shoot at a discounted rate. Today I took them up on that and fired 50 rounds through the little guy in a quick session. Here are some photos:
They make you use their ammo when renting their guns. Fair enough. This 115gr Federal ammo is good stuff fired it in my own guns and theirs, never had an issue with it.
Here's my target, all rounds fired at 25 feet. My shooting is nothing special. I didn't have a lot of time with the gun. There were 5-6 members behind me chomping at the bit to get some time behind the trigger so I didn't want to lollygag. I fired 1 magazine each at the three small targets and then dumped the rest into the middle target. They only had the "extended" magazine, I didn't get to take any shots with the flush-fit version. I found the gun to be very control-able, the sights were completely adequate although I prefer 3 dot. The slimness and weightloss, while they might not seem like much on paper, make a pretty big difference in pocket carry. I'm a guy who pocket carries his Glock 26 and while it's not ideal, I make it work. I can see buying this guy for a sure to supplement pocket carry in tighter jeans and shorts. Of course, the gun fired, ejected, and fed every round flawlessly.
Hope this is helpful. Not very in depth but I really dig this gun and will definitely be buying one when they become more available. Feel free to ask any questions. Glock is going to sell the hell out of these things.
