I live in Switzerland where it is possible to buy and use full auto weapons or to convert semi's into full's if you obtain special authorisations.

I have just obtained such an authorisation and I would like to convert my Glock 17 into a full auto. My market research has shown me that two kits seem to currently exist; one made in America and on made in Germany (both are around the same price and seem to be based on the same principle). Do any of you have any experience of those kits and could advise me on which one to choose?

Thanks in advance,

Nick

Unless the American version happened to have been designed by a German-American engineer, I'd go with the German version. ;)

I once had a Swiss shooter in a US shooting range ask me the same question but I could not give him much useful information as they are generally illegal for most people in the USA to own such a converted Glock and I have no personal experience with them and my particular state, states being similar to your cantons, is quite anti gun.

In the magazine Small Arms Review, there is a company that offers conversions of Glock pistols to full auto for law enforcement agencies. You may want to contact him, but as it would be an international process, I have a feeling the costs and legality of this would make it unfeasible but it is worth a shot if only for more information on whats out there.

I was thinking your best option may be to acquire a Glock 18 in Switzerland if possible, which is pretty much just a Glock 17 made by the factory to also have the option of full auto fire, instead of trying to have your Glock 17 modified.

And why do you have a Glock anyways, the Swiss make much better firearms than the Austrians:)
