Glock G22 walking pin problem

The locking block pin on my G22 has starting "walking" around. Sometimes it drifts out to the left side, some times to the right. Concurrently, the slide goes forward after inserting (vigorously, I must admit) a loaded mag during a panic re-load. I'm thinking it's time to change the slide lock lever and spring. Anybody have any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Have you ever stripped down the pistol? If you do, you'll see that there are two machined grooves in that pin, and the slide-stop lever is supposed to snap into one of those grooves when you reassemble it. Other than not being assembled correctly, about the only other thing that can cause this is for that pin to actually snap in two, which leaves the ends free to walk out. HTH

Hiya SDC and thanks for the reply but that's not the locking block pin. The trigger pin has those groves and it's just fine. The small steps in the locking block pin actually don't protude into the gap inside the block so it doesn't look like it can engage the spring. I put a new spring on the lever but didn't get out to function test it yet. I did check out a couple of other Glocks and they both let the slide go forward when I slam in a new mag like this old G22. Did I mention "vigorous" seating of the mag? This must be the deal here. Not a liability actually...speeds up the reload! I'm hoping that the walking pin isn't a sign that the old G22 has finally seen one too many rounds through it. Maybe a new locking block pin? The pin doesn't seem to sloppy in the holes, but does look a little worn.
