Has anyone changed the reset spring in one specifically a Glock 44? I need to know how the spring bar or whatever it is called that the coil spring goes over and fits into the housing. There is a up angle and a down angle to it.
What happened is my big mashed mechanic fingers turned the metal end plate and it popped out. If the bar was metal I would reassemble one way then change it if it was wrong. I can’t find anything anywhere that shows which way the bar is suppose to go.
One of these days I’ll figure out how to properly load pictures.
Here are some more photos. The pins on the end of the bar go into a slot in the front of the trigger housing and the other end gets trapped into the slot in the silver piece. The pictures are the best I could do with out taking everything out of the trigger housing.
I get how it goes back together I’m just not sure which way the curve of the spring bar goes up or down. Damn thing came apart before I could see how it goes as I’m changing reset spring.
Plastic and I don’t play well together and I don’t want to keep putting it together to check but I may have to.
Well got it all polished, new springs and trigger return spring bar goes how your picture showed. Trigger pull has gone from over 8 lbs down to high 6 lbs after first cleaning and now it averages 4 lb 10 oz and is much smoother. I can live with that and will see how long it stays or gets better or worse.
