• Possible Downtime Alert

I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.

When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.

More information is available in this thread.

As always, thanks so much for your patience.

I am thinking of having a set of Ameriglo night sights put on my 9mm Shield. I would want the standard three dot style. I am just debating if I want the U-notch or not. So does anyone have any experience with the U-notch? What do you think of them? Thanks.

My preferred rear sight notch is a U-notch, specifically the one made by 10-8 Performance. I find it helps speed up aligning the sights when you have a dot on the front blade.

However, I don't think they offer it with dots on the rear blade. Dots on the rear blade tend to slow down aligning the front and rear sights on a target

I have the Ameriglo I-Dot on my Shield with the old-style U-notch. This is still available by request from them. I like it a great deal- only regret is that they came out with the I-Dot Pro for the Shield about a week after I put the original I-Dots on. >.<

I have the Ameriglo U-notch rear and a pro dot on the front. Very easy for my old eyes to pick up. I went orange front. The U-notch will also allow a much better sight picture at distance than say Big Dot sights. That big orange ball fits very nicely into the rear sight.
