Ok so I'm looking for some good sights for my glock 27, I'm undecided between a set of truglo tfo's and ghost ring sights with the tritium in them, I'd like to hear some personal opinions on either please, thanks!

I've been pleased with Glock factory night sights. They will sell and install them for $61.

Just installed some Tru Glo TFOs on my G21, and some Trijicon HDs on my G27. Both are an upgrade from the factory plastic/non-glowing sights. The TFOs replaced some old Trijicon sights which no longer worked at night.

Can't go wrong with either one of the choices you listed, though. Both of mine end up being glow-in-the-dark 3-dot sights at night, which works just fine.

Glock brand factory night sights are as good or better than the others, and the least expensive.

Meprolights are good sights, too.

For the little G27 that's not going to pinpoint accuracy but fast aim and target acquisition, XS 24/7 gets my vote.

Well to be honest, the only ones I'm considering are te TFO's and the ghost rings, and fwiw my 27 is accurate enough for a small gun, has a lone wolf barrel, I'm leaning hard on ghost ring, but there's a few diff brands, not sure which ones to look into

Well I have the heinie straight 8's on my pt145, and it's not always super quick for me to acquire target, how easy is it with the xs big dots? I'm still torn between it and the ghost ring, the main purpose for this gun is ccw

Trijicom on 3 glocks over 16 years, Thet even pay for new ones if they stop working. Take my advice and just use the front one first.

I ended up snagging a set of the tfo's to see how I like em, I could get em locally so I thought why not

Is there any concrete reason not to have a ghost ring sight on a CCW Glock? I've heard they're super-fast and I use standard Glock night sights, but obviously a peep-sight on my M4. Anybody reccomend a ghost ring on a pistol for self defense?

I agree with Reaper, but I have Trijicon (2 green dots rear+1 green dot front) installed on my G 19 and G 26 and I am happy with them. And yes, Gym is absolutely right, if your sights stop working they will send you a new set.

The only experience I have with TruGlo is from their shotgun sights-complete and utter crap.

I have Mepro's on my gun, green front/ yellow rear. I like the product and build quality is excellent.
However, if I had to do it over again I would have kept the stock rear "U" and just replaced the front sight with an AmeriGlo Operator (GL-112T)
IIRC, AmeriGlo uses Trijicon lamps.

I think Glock sights use Mepro lamps

I have truglo tritium/fiber optics on my Glock 30. A bit overkill i guess, but I love em, got em for my bday last year.

I have the TFOs on my Sig and really like them. They also seem to glow while shooting in the sun (probably that whole "fiberoptic" thing ) which really contrasts the sights and the target.

I like XS sights but I didn't dislike the glock stock ones that came with the last G22 Gen3 rough texture I got. I was a pleasant surprise for the same price of the usual sights....

Sorry, hard to see them glow with so much light but they are pretty clear in the dark...

By the way I was told the Gen3's rough texture are being discontinued for the civilian market.

ameriglo pro dots are the best on the market right now. check them out, the orange ring around the tritium vile makes them easy to pick up in low light conditions that aren't dark enough to make the tritium glow, like the indoor ranges i shoot at. :)

tru glo TFO's have been known to snap off, and their cust serv stinks.

I'm a big fan of the Trijicon HD Night Sights. Very quick front sight acquisition and they are awesome for one handed manipulations.

This not criticism. An honest question from someone who has night sights on the front but would not have them for the rear.

Would you actually line up the 8s or the tri dots in the dark?

I bought my G34 from a local and I do not know the brand. Luckily, he did not have night sights on the rear.
