Should be
Should be what every other successful company has done and bring out a 22lr version of its full sized guns. They could make a 22lr easily enough. ISSC jumped into that market for them with a low cost cheapo gun with issues and still make a small fortune doing it. If nothing else, Glock should take advantage of the interchangeability and produce their own 22lr uppers. It's not what I expect though...
I expect a 42 frame to become a 9x19. (42 frame is where 22lr is needed for people to practice and not worry about recoil). If not a 9x19 I would expect an oddball caliber to make an appearance. They tried with 45GAP, maybe they will try something like 22tcm or 32naa in the 42 frame. Glock has proven that they will not designate a single frame to a single caliber...expect the 42 frame family to grow.
