I've owned more than my fair share of glocks. I am going to go over a few likes a dislikes with all the of these models.....regardless of the actual caliber or model i.e G19 - or whatever. I have owned all three 19's. I'll start with my least favorite. I'll tell you why as well. My least favorite Glock 19 is the 3rd generation. This is not beacause it is the oldest model, it is because of the grip texture alone. I have shot this firearm through plenty of "run and guns" and enjoy it because it is a glock, but it needs more texture on the side. Now if your primary function for this gun is concealed carry, it may be your favorite. That's a whole different ballgame but needs to be put in perspective. My second favorite is the 4th gen. While I owned on as soon is it came out, I had a few problems with FTE which did not dishearten me from glock. The texture on this model is much different. The recoil spring isn't the only issue though. It is also the extractor claw. If you do a little research you'll see that the 3rd Glocks had some problems as well at first. This gun is a great go between for the 3rd gen and the 3rd gen rtf2. I've owned 3 4th gen Glocks and love them all. Even though I have none now ???
Recently I was able to get my hands on the rtf2 and love the texture. while this firearm was not intended for wearing iwb because it would pick your shirt or pants apart. it functions flawless because it a 3rd gen just with different textures. with gloves or wet cold hands this gun is awesome. some may say it's too much but I don't beleive so. the only thing missing with my 19 rtf2 is it does not have the fish gill slide serations :banghead: all in all it's my number 1. not for ccw but for practicality at the range or our combat course. let me know if anyone wants pictures. also if anyone could tell me if they made a 36 in rtf
