Glock Sights

I want a Glock 30 with night sights. I was wondering if I would be better off to buy the pistol with the night sights installed or if I should buy the pistol and then install the night sights myself. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I think its cheaper and more convenient to just buy it with the night sights on already.

Even if you get it with fixed sights, you can send your slide back to Glock and for 50 bucks get Glock night sights, or for 70 dollars get trijicon night sights

It will depend on what kind of sights you prefer. If you like the sights that they have on, and don't feel like dealing with shipping your slide back to Glock (wait time?) , then I would say that buying them installed is a better option. Just as long they aren't jacking the price up too much due to having nights sights already installed (I have seen it before).

I don't really care for the factory night sights, but they do work. I use the factory night sights on my duty Glock because I have to(Dept. Policy). I use Warren Tacticals on my personal G17 and G21. To me, there are better sight options out there, but use what works for you.

Well I was in the same boat a couple of weeks ago when buying my G20, and I went with factory night sights. The deal breaker for me was the fact that Glock will replace them for life when they start to dim. I really tend to hang on to guns for a long time and I know night sights are going to dim inevitably. I could be wrong, but I don't think Trijicon or Mepro offer lifetime replacements.

As I understand it, Glock uses the same tritium viles as are found in Mepro's, but the rest of the sight is not Mepro. Mine are really bright and seem to be of solid construction. I'm sure if I buy another Glock, I will go with the factory night sights again.
