I just bought a brand NIB Glock today. I put it side by side next to one of the other Glocks I've owned for years and the slide finish on my new Glock looks and feels different from my other one. My older Glock's finish is a bit shiny and smooth, it has about 500+ rounds through it. The new one that I bought today has a weird luster that seems a bit rough and it's not shiny. Is this supposed to be some sort of temporary outer layer that gradually wears off as I shoot it, or is it something new that Glock has incorporated. By the way, both Glocks are 3rd generation, both my old and new one.
