Glocks fire under water?

A Glock 17 will function underwater (assuming there is no air left in the gun, anywhere), but the concussion can't be comfortable :uhoh:

I can't think of a use for this, though i've heard that some military units occasionally carry them on dives for protection against sharks. Supposedly, the 9mm is still trucking along at 20 feet.

Glocks (and probably other pistols) will fire under water.
I wouldn't try it with anything other than 9mm (especially .40S&W), because of the barrel thickness/pressure.

I have maritime spring cups in my G34 and G26 just because I can. :)
I plan to try them under water some time.

Do NOT use HP bullets!!!!! They will expand and give you a nasty surprise! :uhoh:

I cannot understand why anyone would believe that anything shown in a Hollywood movie (T.V. show or whatever) was correct. With a few noteable exceptions the folks in the movie business don't have enough gun knowledge to keep their ears apart. A big reason so many people are screwed up about guns is because they've been educated by the movies.

seems pretty stupid to me as any gun will and can fire "under water". its just the drag on the bullets thats the problem. This subjet went out to sea at about 1950 or so even, lol.
